The GFWC Historic Brooksville Woman's Club is always open to women who want to make a difference in the community. Our members come from all backgrounds and walks of life. The GFWC motto is: Unity in Diversity" We learn about each other by working together and we have FUN!
Whether you are new to the area or have lived here awhile, there is something to do for all interests. We sponsor 2-3 major fundraisers and other events each year. Our standing committees include: Arts and Crafts, Conservation, Education, Home Life, International Outreach, Public Issues, and Communication. Our beautiful 1932 Clubhouse in the downtown Brooksville historic district needs on-going TLC. We are researching our history and creating interpretive displays from our extensive archives. Currently we are focusing on the 1930's, when our Clubhouse was built by women who designed it and raised vegetables to pay for it. We are upgrading our social media presence and hope to do some grant writing this year. Members with interests and willingness to learn and contribute in all areas are encouraged to apply. We are a volunteer service organization, dedicated to community improvement.
